UPDATED:

Another restaurant has closed in Hampton Roads.

Plaza Azteca announced on Facebook Friday that its downtown Norfolk location, at 411 Granby St., would close the same day. No reason was given.

Whether the closure is related to a recent legal settlement is not known. Last year, the Mexican restaurant chain, which has locations across the East Coast, agreed to pay $11.4 million in back wages and damages to settle a federal Labor Department investigation. More than $3.7 million of that was for nearly 500 workers in Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina, The Pilot reported.

A call to the restaurant Monday morning was met with an out-of-service busy signal.

The chain’s other Norfolk location is at Norfolk Premium Outlets.
