A motorcyclist died Friday night following a collision with another vehicle in Virginia Beach. Police have charged the driver of the second vehicle with driving under the influence.
Police responded to the 5000 block of Ferrell Parkway in the Acredale neighborhood following a report of a crash involving a motorcycle at about 9:02 p.m. Officers pronounced 53-year-old Randall Gollihur, the operator of the motorcycle, dead at the scene.
Brittany Harris, 35, was driving the other vehicle at the time of the wreck. She is charged with driving under the influence (first offense) and refusing a breathalyzer test. More charges are expected to be filed against Harris, according to a news release.
It’s unclear if Harris was injured in the wreck. The investigation is ongoing.
