Nour Habib is an education reporter for The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press. Previously, she worked as a journalist in New Hampshire and Oklahoma. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University. She has also lived in Boston and California. She enjoys reading and road trips.

The York County Circuit Court this week dismissed a lawsuit against the Virginia Department of Education that challenged the department’s 2023 model policies regarding the treatment of transgender students. The lawsuit was one of two brought forth in February by the ACLU of Virginia.
