A body was found in the water in Virginia Beach Wednesday afternoon.
Police responded to the 4400 block of Drum Castle Court, near the intersection with Donation Drive, following a report of a deceased person floating in a nearby body of water at about 3:15 p.m. There is a small pond behind the Old Donation Apartments complex near the response area.
The body was recovered with the help of the Virginia Beach Fire Department, police said.
The cause and manner of death have not been determined. The body has not been identified.
