Cornelia “Ditter” C. Holland entered the gates of Heaven on August 26, 2024 greeted by her husband James, who preceded her in death by five weeks. Ditter loved being with family and friends. She loved to laugh, go out to eat and go shopping.
Ditter was born on September 21, 1931 in Cromona, Kentucky to Lillian M. Gardner and Allen Bruce Culp. She was the oldest of three girls. She moved to Virginia as a teen where she met James, who would become her husband and love of her life. They married in October 1, 1950, almost 74 years.
Ditter started work after high school as a dental assistant in a one girl office. She continued in the dental field until she retired, with her last job being at the Naval Base in Norfolk working in the Dental Clinic in Oral Surgery, which she loved. She was a member of the National Dental Assistants Association.
Ditter and James moved to Florida in 2009 to be closer to their daughter and her family. They ended up buying the house next door and popped in several times a day on each other and enjoy many meals full of laughter.
Ditter was Presbyterian by faith. When she lived in Norfolk, she was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church. She joined the First Presbyterian Church of Niceville once she moved to Florida.
Ditter is preceded in death by her husband, James E Holland, Jr.; her mother, Lillian M. Dorigan; her father, Allen Bruce Culp; her step father, Charles J. Dorigan; her son, Brian S. Holland, and a sister, Alice Henley.
Ditter leaves behind a daughter, Dana H. Haase; a son in law, Jame G. “Haase”; a granddaughter, Jessica H. Meadows and two great grandsons, Brantley and Gunner Meadows. Also, one sister, Sue Archer
A visitation will be held at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 610 N. Witchduck Road, Va. Beach, Va 23462, on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a graveside burial on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.. A Celebration of life will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Niceville, 1800 E. John Sims Parkway, Niceville, Fl, 32578 on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m..
