Jean Ziegenhain Jones OBITUARY
Jean Jones, 96, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024. She was born to Louis and Bessie Ziegenhain on October 17, 1927, the fifth of nine siblings. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Eugene; son Leslie; four brothers, Bobby, Charles, Pete and Jimmy; and three sisters, Sue, Mae and Hinkey.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister Betty; daughter Judy; grandson Gene (Michelle); three great-grandchildren, Jillian, Johsua and Jonathan; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
To Jean family was everything. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Those who loved Jean will miss her beautiful smile, kind heart and sweet disposition.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 12 noon at Olive Branch Cemetery. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth is in charge. www.SturtevantFH.com
