More seafood is coming to Waterside District to go with that Elizabeth River view.

The Cordish Cos., Waterside’s Baltimore-based developer, announced Thursday that Stripers , an Outer Banks restaurant, will be part of the mix.

But the 7,400-square-foot restaurant won’t be there on opening day, which Cordish has said will be May 4. Stripers Waterside is set for a fall opening.

Stripers will serve seafood, pasta, steak and sandwiches and plans to have 30 beers on tap. The restaurant also will have a Sunday brunch. The original restaurant, Stripers Bar and Grille, is in Manteo, N.C.

Waterside also will feature Rappahannock Oyster Co., based in Topping, along with a variety of other tenants and vendors: Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse, PBR, Blue Moon Taphouse, The Fudgery, Cogan’s Pizza, Carolina Cupcakery, Luk Fu, Harbor Club and Starr Hill Brewery.

The developer has committed to a $40 million overhaul of the Norfolk property.
